Our ClientOur Client, an energy company based in Lagos Nigeria that is positioned to be a prime owner of Nigeria’s domestic energy grid seeks to employ a treasury manager.Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and monitor all bank accounts as per the needs of the business and comply with the formalities required.Work with the CFO in raising capital to support the Company and its subsidiaries needs for working capital, project development costs, contract fulfillment and asset purchases.Review and maintain cash floats at various working locations.Maintain a schedule of lease payments of assets leased and make the funds available for the same on due dates.Effect various payments to various parties including indigenous and foreign suppliers on timely basis.Ensuring that the payments are made after due verification that they have been authorized by appropriate authority levels as per the company policies.Develop a system of confirmation of receipts by beneficiaries.Prepare monthly cash forecast and submit for the review of CFO and Financial Controller.Monitor bank charges and offer advice on various services offered by the bank including remittancecharges, interest on working capital, drafts etc.Ensure daily reconciliation of all bank accounts and clearing of all reconciling items within a reasonable timeDevelop investment models for the available funds in various currencies and advice on the investmentportfolio as per the company policy and CFO guidance.Develop reporting mechanism by which measurement can be done for effective utilization of funds andforeign exchange transactions.Monitor working capital needs of the organization and liaise with the financial institutions.Maintain proper record and control over various financial instruments belonging to the company like bankguarantees, call deposit receipts etc.Manage the Group’s foreign exchange exposures.Review and ensure that all bank reconciliations are accurate.Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and institutional lenders and other finance companiesincluding managing existing financial relationships and building new relationships with other financiersEnsure the sources and uses of funds across the organization are adequately matchedDiligently manage monetary risks such as interest rates, foreign exchange risks, liquidity risks, using hedgingproducts where appropriateOther Finance related assignmentsRequirementsSkills and Specifications Professional membership of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or The Institute of Bankersof Nigeria or any equivalent professional qualification.Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in accounting or a Higher National Diploma in accounting.Minimum of 5 years working experienceExperience in banking is an added advantageExperience in an energy (incl. oil and gas, power and renewables) company, or infrastructure company aplus.Exposure to foreign exchange management.Familiarity with international and local financial reporting standardsExcellent analytical and numerical abilityGood interpersonal relationsRequirementsSkills and Specifications Professional membership of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or The Institute of Bankers of Nigeria or any equivalent professional qualification. Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in accounting or a Higher National Diploma in accounting. Minimum of 5 years working experience Experience in banking is an added advantage Experience in an energy (incl. oil and gas, power and renewables) company, or infrastructure company a plus. Exposure to foreign exchange management. Familiarity with international and local financial reporting standards Excellent analytical and numerical ability Good interpersonal relations
